The meaning of doodles that we draw without thinking

Doodle is basically about scribbling aimlessly without thinking about what you are doing. Majority of us doodle without even knowing the meaning of what we draw.

It's fun and totally therapeutic, but did you know that what you are scribbling in the corner of your spiral notebook can actually reveal a deep truth about who you are?All those doodles you draw while talking over the phone or listening to a boring conference actually show your character or mental state.

Lets explore what various doodles reveal:

Numbers/Symbols of Currency

Those who doodle numbers, think about money. Either you are thinking over the ways to earn more, or ways to pay off debts.

Suns/Moon/Flowers/Garlands

Your notebook's pages are decorated with garlands or sun? Paradoxically, but your mood is not as bright as these drawings. You lack care and attention and dream of friendship and love. Want advice? Try to socialize more. Call your friends and ask them out, go to the movies, or just have some fun. Then sun will be not only on paper but in your heart as well.

Geometric Shapes

Squares, diamonds, triangles show clear goals and strong opinions. These shapes are usually drawn by people who are used to express their point of view. They try not to give up in front of an enemy, have a practical mind, good logical thinking and are able to take up leadership positions. Symmetrical forms mean a commitment to accuracy and order, prudence and ability to plan everything. At the same time, if the angles of the shapes are too sharp, it shows aggression. Your problem is excessive concentration, which doesn't let you relax.

Crosses

Crosses mean guilt. Perhaps you have offended someone or not fulfilled a promise, or you may think that others criticize you for something. Discuss everything that bothers you, or ask for forgiveness, and you'll feel much better. By the way, your doodle may contain not just usual crosses, but, for example, jewelry or ornaments that contain cross-shaped elements.

Spirals, Circles, Waves

You don't care about other people's problems. You are rather reserved person and don't like when someone interferes in your affairs. Perhaps you are experiencing a slight crisis. Try to control yourself, otherwise you can lose your temper and insult someone. You sometimes feel isolated.

Stars

Star is a shape of an optimistic personality. When facing a problem, you never give up and try to overcome the issue. Besides, this shape means that you want more attention.

Trees

Thin trees with bare branches are usually doodled by sad and frustrated personalities. On the other hand, thick trunk and crown show that you are energetic, cheerful and have no worries at the moment.

Hearts

You are overwhelmed with feelings. You want to hug and kiss the entire world. But you always control your emotions and seem strict and reserved. The bigger picture, the greater the difference between your true face and the "mask". Stop controlling yourself, become more open and relaxed.

Honeycomb

Honeycomb doodles mean the desire for a peaceful life in the harmony with the self and the world. Also this doodle can mean the desire to start a family, which you might not want to admit even to yourself.

Flowers and Leaves

These doodles show kind character of a doodler. You are sympathetic and like helping others. You are also very sensitive and emotional. If the plants are drawn in a vase, it means that you constantly need more energy.

Chess Board

This kind of check board means that you might be in a difficult situation and thinking about different solutions to it. But if this doodle is a "frequent guest" in your notebook, it is possible that you are suffering from hidden complexes.
